Canadian fencers had another impressive showing at the USFA’s North American Cup competition. The competition is held annually in Columbus, Ohio and took place from June 23 – July 3, 2014.

Along with three medals, the Canadians came away with seven top-16 finishes in a competitive event that draws fencers from across the globe.

Among the medallists was Ottawa native Kelleigh Ryan who took home the bronze medal in the Division 1 Women’s Foil event. Joining her in the event was Eleanor Harvey from Hamilton, ON who ended in eighth place.

Other medal winners include Emma Von Dadelszen (Vancouver, BC) who claimed the silver medal in the Junior Women’s Epee event. Also on the podium in the Cadet Men’s Epee event was Toronto native Nikola Damjanovic with an impressive second place finish.

Finishing just shy of the podium in Junior Men’s was Pascal Lambert  (Blainville, QC) who headed home with a fifth place finish after a two-way tie for third place. Other notable performances from the competition include a 9th place finish for Andre Lavoie (Winnipeg, MB) in Cadet Men’s Sabre and an 11th place finish for Dylan French (Richmond, BC) in the Division 1 Men’s Epee event.
