Competition Venue:  Centre Pierre Charbonneau, 3000 Rue Viau, Montréal, QC H1V 3J3

Participation: The competition is open to fencers selected by their national federation following the quotas defined by the F.I.E. for the current season.

Registration: The list of registrations must be transmitted to the Panamerican Fencing Confederation and to the Canadian Fencing Federation : esgrimacpe@yahoo.com and events@fencing.ca before May 12th. The candidates must also be registered via the web page of the FIE (www.fie.org ) via their federation.

Competition fees: A fee of 30 USD$/45 CAD$ is required per athlete for Individual and 120 USD$ /150 CAD$ for each team. The registration fees must be paid by cash to the organizers prior to the end of the registrations at 20:00 pm on Monday, June 12th.

Equipment check: Equipment Control will be established as per the FIE regulations, and will begin Monday June 12th at the hotel, and staged every day at the competition venue, starting the day before each category’s event.

Referees: Each participating country with more than 4 fencers should consider with his delegation, one referee FIE at his own charge; the organizer will cover the costs of internal transport and food, of those who are appointed formally. Which shall notify on the 1st of June 2017, after that date the organizer will not take charge of the referees’ food.

Visa: To obtain visas, we ask the national federations to complete the Visa Form and return it by e-mail to: events@fencing.ca. We will then send you an invitation letter which you will have to submit, accompanied with any required personal identification documents, to the Canadian consulate closest to you. Rate: $169 CAD up to quad occupancy, plus taxes, Occupancy tax: 3.5% per room, per night, Federal tax (GST): 5%, Provincial tax (PST): 9.975%

Transport: Transportation between the airport and Universel hotel will be provided for delegations who had confirm their flight before May 12th. The venue site is at a walking distance from the hotel. Last-minute changes or members of official delegations who do not confirm their flight plans by the deadline of May 12th are required to obtain their own transportation from the airport. Taxis are available from the airport to the hotel at an approximate rate of $60 CDN and there is also bus #747 followed by Metro to Viau station near the hotel at a cost of 10$ for a ticket one way. These costs will not be reimbursed.
