Inclusion emphasizes design of physical structures that eliminate barriers to ease movement for persons with disabilities. The notion of inclusion is central to the aspiration of the Paralympic Movement towards a better society. According to the IPC Diversity and Inclusion Policy, “Diversity is a reality. Inclusion is a choice. The IPC chooses to lead on this issue because only by accounting for and benefiting from difference will we continue to grow and sustain the Paralympic Movement. However, true inclusion in social life is not possible without access.”
