In the first day of team competition, Canadians won medals in each event staged Sunday to bring the total medal tally to 18.

Sunday’s competition saw teams in Women’s Foil, Men’s Epee and Men’s Saber in action. The Canadian teams won the following medals:

Women’s Junior Foil (Alanna Goldie, Eleanor Harvey, Pamela Brind’Amour, Sofya Romashina): Gold medal

Men’s Junior Epee (Marc-Antoine Blais-Belanger, Philippe Heidecker, Isaac Velestuk, Michael Hastings-Grgas): Silver medal

Men’s Junior Saber (Cédric Boutet, Cameron Mackay, Jihad Kabbaj, William Kinney): Bronze Medal

Team competition continues Monday with Canada hoping to add to its medal count in Men’s Junior Foil and Women’s Junior Epee and Sabre.
