Day 6 (Feb. 11) – Canada Wins 2 more medals to wrap up Team Competition at the Junior/Cadet Pan Am Championships

In the second day of team competition and the last day of the tournament, Canadians won two more medals to bring the total to 15 individual (3 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze) and 5 team medals (2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze) resulting in Canada finishing as the country with the most medals in the tournament – ahead of Mexico and the USA who finished second and third respectively.


Monday’s competition saw teams in Men’s Junior Foil, Women’s Junior Epee and Women’s Junior Sabre in action. Canadian teams won the following medals:


Men’s Foil (Marc-Antoine Brodeur, Francois-Olivier David, Alastair Keyes, Michel Hasting-Grgas): Gold Medal

Women’s Epee (Malinka Hoppe, Andrée-Anne Paquet, Vanessa Lacas-Warrick, Brittany Mark-Larkin): Silver Medal


The Women’s Saber team finished just off the podium in fourth place.
