NCCP Fencing Foundations On-line Coaching Workshop
Description: Whether you are new to coaching or have been actively coaching for a while, this on-line workshop is the first step towards becoming an NCCP certified coach. It aims to ensure a common base of coaching knowledge and understanding of the values that guide the delivery of fencing in Canada.
Overall goal: Fencing coaches in Canada keep foremost in their minds, the well being of each fencer in their care by planning, leading camp; overseeing fencing programs and activities that intentionally reflect the values of inclusiveness, safety, fairness and respect. Furthermore, coaches keep in mind the CFF core values: they are athlete-focused to support fencers in achieving their goals at every level; they work to achieve excellence in performance camp; operations; they support a culture of respect and work together to achieve objectives; they conduct themselves professionally in their work.
Note: If you have taken NCCP fencing workshops prior to 2020, you are not required to take this workshop; however, to be up-to-date about the values which are expected to guide coaching behaviour in Canada, this workshop is recommended.
