The Canadian Fencing Federation is pleased to announce that Marc-André Leblanc has been selected to serve as the Team Leader for the Junior/Cadet Pan American Championships to be held in Bogota, Columbia.

The CFF squad is made up of 24 athletes who will take part in the event. The team will include 2 referees that will represent Canada, Steven Moore and Jacobo Morales.

There is no doubt that this is a special opportunity to be part of Team Canada Staff. It’s always an honour to be brought back and to help in any way possible. Marc-André said. I’m really looking forward to these Championships but to also do whatever is necessary to help the athletes reach their full potential. 

Marc-André has been involved in the sport since 2000.  He participated in the National team program as an athlete from 2004-2014 (participated in various Worlds, Pan American, Universiades Championships and made several World Cups, Grand Prix). He is a full-time fencing coach since 2014. He is fully bilingual and has some basic understanding of Mandarin.
