The CFF is pleased to announce that Daria Jorquera Palmer has been hired as our first Gender Equity Coordinator. Daria comes to this position with an educational background in recreation management and community development as well as extensive experience working with other non-profit organizations. She is also very familiar with the fencing community in Canada as a former long-time national team member. Daria is passionate about equity and inclusion and will be working with our soon to be formed Gender Equity Committee to follow up on a number of recommendations arising from our recent action planning sessions with Canadian Women in Sport.

The CFF is also seeking members of the fencing community who would like to volunteer as members of this new committee. If you are interested in helping the CFF become a more equitable organization, please contact Daria at djpalmer@fencing.ca.
