Paige Backman Joins the Canadian Fencing Federation as a Board of Director
The Canadian Fencing Federation (CFF) is very pleased to announce that Paige Backman has joined the organization as a Board of Director to fill one of the currently vacant director positions.
Backman comes to the organization with extensive experience in sport governance. Backman is a Partner at Aird & Berlis LLP, and the Co-Chair of the Global Sport and Media Group. She has represented and been an advisor for national and international, professional and amateur sports organizations. Her range of experience in high performance sport includes acquisitions, divestitures, corporate structuring, corporate governance, risk management, sponsorship and agency relationships. Paige has also advised and consulted on investigations and disciplinary proceedings relating to high performance athletes, coaches, officials and political appointees. She is committed to the integration of sport into humanity’s most critical issues, such as combating violence and racism and promoting equality.
