Rising Stars of Canadian Parafencing – Trinity Lowthian and Amber Briar shine at the IWAS U23 World Championships in Sao Paulo
The Canadian Parafencing Team was in Sao Paulo from October 19 to 20 to compete at the IWAS U23 WorldChampionships. Two young fencers from Ontario, Trinity Lowthian (Class B) of Ottawa and Amber Briar (Class A) ofMississauga took on the challenge with flying colours.
Amber Briar took the third step of the podium in the women’s épée event. Trinity Lowthian finished 6th in the event thatcombined classes A and B.
In women’s foil, our two Canadians finished 5th and 6th respectively.
Finally, the young fencer from Ottawa finished 5th in the women’s sabre event.
