Dr. Lisa Huzel Selected as Medical Delegate for Fencing for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo

The Canadian Fencing Federation is pleased to announce that Dr. Lisa Huzel has been selected as one of two medical delegates for fencing at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

In 2002, Dr. Huzel co-founded the Canadian Fencing Academy in Oakville, Ontario.  Since then, she has been active in the Canadian fencing community both through sponsoring athletes and as an athlete herself.  She has competed in both Senior and Veteran Fencing competitions including representing Canada at Commonwealth Fencing Championships and at the Veteran World Fencing Championships.

In 2016, Dr. Huzel was elected to the Medical Commission of the FIE.  She has acted as Medical Delegate at several Senior Pan American Zonal Fencing Championships as well as at several Senior World Fencing Championships.

The CFF congratulates Dr. Huzel on this well deserved appointment.
