Strong Results for Canadians at Commonwealth Veterans Fencing Championships

Canada’s largest contingent of Canadian veteran fencers travelled to Largs, Scotland to take part in the 2014 Commonwealth Veterans Fencing Championships from November 16-19, 2014.

Canadians performed well and took home a total of nine medals with numerous top 16 performances.

Following are Canadians who finished top 16:

Men’s Foil: Tang Julian Tze Wei – Bronze medal

Women’s Foil: Danielle Lefevre – 15th

Men’s Sabre: Dale Dorosh – 11th, Kyle Foster – 13th, Francis Wing Keung Lee – 15th

Women’s Sabre: Josée Bergeron – 15th

Men’s EpeeKyle Foster – Bronze medal, Bela Suveg – 6th, Darcy Gates – 9th, Francis Wing Keung Lee – 14th

Women’s Epee: Tanya Tygesen – Silver Medal, Genevieve Rosseel – 9th

Men’s Sabre Team A:  (Mike Krasnich, Kyle Foster, Dale Dorosh, Francis Wing Keung Lee) – Bronze Medal

Men’s Sabre Team B: (Bob Rennick, Patrick McArthur, Anthony Roberts) – Gold Medal

Men’s Epee Team A: (Kyle Foster, Darcy Gates, Bela Suveg, Francis Wing Keung Lee) – Gold Medal

Men’s Epee Team B: (Michael McDonnell, Rob McLean, Howard Simmons, David Roberts) – Bronze Medal

Women’s Epee Team: (Josee Bergeron, Danielle Lefevre, Genevieve Rosseel, Tanya Tygesen) – Silver Medal

Men’s Team Foil: (Mark Ballard, Greg Chang, Francis Lee, Julien Tang) – Bronze Medal
