Kitchener was host to the first Canadian University Fencing Championships with athletes attending from over 24 distinct institutions. With strong performances from individuals from McGill, RMCC, University of Calgary and University of Ottawa, it was the University of Toronto who commanded the point totals to win the first ever National University Championship banner.
