May 25 – The Canadian Fencing Federation is proud and excited to announce that it has entered a six-year partnership agreement with world-renowned New Jersey-based fencing equipment manufacturer and supplier Absolute Fencing Gear.
CFF president Brad Goldie announced the agreement last week at the 2015 CFF Awards & Celebration Gala, part of the CFF’s National Championships and Canada Cup weekend taking place at the Richmond Oval in Richmond, BC this weekend.
“One of the Canadian Fencing Federation's fundamental pillars is to drive for excellence,” said Goldie, “This philosophy applies when choosing our sponsors, and I am very excited about our new long term relationship with a world leader in fencing equipment.”
For the next six years, 24 Senior, 24 Junior and 24 Cadet athletes who qualify for the World Championships will receive full fencing gear – including whites, lame, mask with Canada flag, socks, Canada embroidered fencing bag and gloves. In addition, Junior and Senior national coaches will receive yearly coaching gear.
“Absolute Fencing is now an official supplier to the Canadian Fencing Federation and this partnership has direct and immediate benefits for our National team athletes and coaches,” said Goldie, “Gary Lu, president of Absolute Fencing, and I sat down two years ago to discuss excellence, and this long term deal cements our mutual commitment. I look forward to a bright future with Absolute Fencing.”
The estimated yearly value is $75,000 for a total sponsorship investment of $450,000.
