Organized by the Canadian Fencing Federation, in partnership with the Royal Military College of Canada Fencing Team.

Please note that the 2025-2026 Canada Cup #1 / Senior National Championships has been designated by the Canadian Fencing Federation and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport as being subject to the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) and the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP) Rules. While participating at this event, you must adhere to the terms and conditions of the CSSP Consent Form, including the administration and enforcement of the UCCMS, as outlined in the CSSP Rules. By registering for this event, you agree to be subject to the UCCMS and CSSP Rules while participating at this event. You have the opportunity to be educated via Safe Sport E-Learning: Individuals at Designated National-Level Events (https://cces.ca/safesport-events). Your completion of this course will not be tracked and your progress will not be visible to e-learning administrators.

$50 non-refundable administration fee +
$85 Cadet (born 2009 to 2013)
$85 Junior (born 2006 to 2013)
$85 Senior (born 2012 and earlier)

REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Regular fee deadline: Friday August 29, 2025 at 6:00 PM EDT
First late entry fee deadline (double fees): Friday September 12 , 2025 at 6:00 PM EDT
Final entry fee deadline (triple fees): Friday September 19, 2025 at 6:00 PM EDT

NOTE: Late Registration: will only be accepted if there is no significant impact on competition resources (i.e. number of pistes and referees).

CFF MEMBERS MUST HAVE A NATIONAL CFF LICENSE NUMBER, VALIDATED BY THEIR PROVINCIAL ASSOCIATION.

Register online through the membership system using the same email you used to purchase your CFF license and provincial membership.


COACH PRE-REGISTRATION – available soon
All coaches must pre-register by no later than Tuesday September 23, 2025 in order to have access to the competition area on the days they are coaching. All coaches must be registered as a coach with the CFF, which requires that they have completed a CFF-approved Safe Sport training module, successfully completed the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions evaluation, and provided a valid background check.

IMPORTANT: Close of check-in times are subject to change based on final registration numbers and you should not plan travel solely based on these times


COMPETITION FORMAT

All events (except senior and veteran): poules with 20-30% eliminated, followed by direct elimination.

  • For senior events with a minimum of 75 entries, there will be poules with 20-30% eliminated, followed by direct elimination and super poules for the top 16, followed by direct elimination for the top 12.

PROCEDURE FOR THE ENTRY OF A COMPETITOR IN MORE THAN ONE EVENT
Athletes may not take part in two (2) or more events in the same day unless their participation in the initial event has concluded prior to close registration/confirmation of any subsequent event. Athletes entering multiple events on the same day do so at their own risk; no refunds shall be provided.

ENTRY CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation of entry due to a medical condition: Full refund of EVENT fees, provided the CFF organizers are notified at least 24 hours prior to the event and a doctor’s certificate is submitted.

WAIVERS

By registering for this CFF event, I consent to the following conditions:

  • I consent to the assigned event medical staff attending, diagnosing and treating an injury that occurs on the piste during competition.  I agree that this information will be recorded and tracked for my events.  I agree that if the assigned medical staff determine that I cannot continue to compete, I will be withdrawn from the event
  • I verify that I meet the age (upper and lower year of birth) and other event criteria for all the events I have entered. I acknowledge that I will be withdrawn from events that I am ineligible to compete in.

IMPORTANT

  • Only athletes, officials, coaches meeting the above requirements, and designated volunteers will be allowed to access inside the competition area.
  • All coaches must be registered coaches with the CFF, have completed safe sport training, successfully completed the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions evaluation, and provide a valid background check.
