Effective September 1, 2016 the following rule changes will come into effect for all CFF sanctioned fencing events:

Sabre
1. The CFF will follow the FIE testing period for Rule T17.2 (the new sabre on-guard position).
2. The CFF will follow the New Rules for Sabre (2016) as per the FIE website (blocking time change set to 170 ms +- 10)

Foil
3. The CFF will follow the new FIE rule T80.2 (reversing of shoulders is a group 1 offence)

Foil and Sabre
4. The CFF will implement rule M32.1 in the 2017/18 FIE season (no coiled head wire allowed)
